Career Timeline
My first sale
I was dropped off at my grandparents lake lot for weeks at a time. My grandma sent me off down the beach to find smooth stones and then lovingly showed me how to use dollarstore paints and transform them into ladybugs. I set them out on the walking trail, with a sticker on the bottom stating the price. Before I knew it, the soup can I set out beside my ladybugs had a dollar in it. My first sale.
Recent learnings
I wanted to be impressive, and so I strived and sweat to become as realtistic as possible. I have a deep appreciation for realism, but now I paint from a place of honesty. I enjoy big colorful strokes, colors that envoke peace and joy. I love subject matter that ties us into the weave of creation. As the mountains and flowers are beautiful so are we. I like to connect to that.
Soon
As I rest in my new understanding, Im becoming a more adventurous creative. My future goals include more teaching, art retreats ( think campfire energy, the best food you've ever had, deep belly laughs and obviosuly creating! ) and more shows to meet all of you and hear your stories.
